As part of its foray into the National Capital Region (NCR), Sobha Group will be developing a township project in Delhi. The International City will come up over 150 acres in Dwarka-South West Delhi. The first phase of this project will be spread over 36 acres, with 3.5 million square feet of development including 0.5 million square feet of commercial development. According to Jagadish Nangineni, regional head, NCR, Sobha, the first phase of the project will have 200 villas of 5/6 bedrooms ranging from 270 square yards to 692 square yards and costing Rs 3.28 crore to Rs 8.8 crore.
The USP of this low density low rise project, according to Nangineni, is its high-end specification including a one lakh sq ft high-end club house. “The entire infrastructure of this residential development with 55 per cent open area is developed by Sobha. Moreover it has the Sobha stamp of quality,” says Nangineni. The first phase of the International City, costing Rs 400 crore will be complete in 2014, while the entire project will be delivered over 6-7 years. Meanwhile, Sobha is also looking for opportunity to develop a Group Housing project in Gurgaon, Nangineni informed.
